The Petit Family Foundation (PFF) understands the need for victims, survivors, public safety and the community in general to heal after a tragedy. PFF funds the training and continual education of our K9FR teams.

Behavioral Science Applications (BSA) helps organizations interpret and apply behavioral science research to violence prevention and crisis management plans, policies, procedures and exercises, as well as real-time response. BSA trains our teams in Psychological First Aid (PFA), Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and other Psychosocial skills.

Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) values the communities they serve. Two of their community efforts focus around “… strengthen relationships in communities… building resiliency within our communities.” We appreciate their support and are proud to partner with them to help achieve their goals.

Save The Children and their Child Friendly Space program help children cope with the aftermath of traumatic events. We partnered with them in Newtown, CT after the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. Their work is simply amazing.

Connecticut Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (Connecticut VOAD) is a humanitarian association of independent voluntary organizations who may be active in all phases of disaster. Its mission is to foster efficient, streamlined service delivery to people affected by disaster, while eliminating unnecessary duplication of effort, through cooperation in the four phases of disaster: preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.

K9 First Responders partners with the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) and their Office of Public Health Preparedness (OPHP) to provide services as member of their “All-Hazards Psychological Trauma Coordination Network”.
OPHP is the intersection between public health, emergency medical services, healthcare, and public safety for the purpose of emergency preparedness, response, and recovery. As a result, OPHP has preparedness, response, and recovery roles dealing with the health and medical impacts of emergencies, particularly for those most vulnerable.
We are excited to be a partner and stakeholder with this historic and progressive organization.

The DelValle Institute links the latest research and guidance with best practices in the field to deliver high-quality, skills-based preparedness and response education for healthcare and public health practitioners and their public safety partners. K9FR teams benefit from the training programs they provide. As a result of our partnership with The DelValle Institute and programs across the Boston Public Health Commission, we have access to a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise to enhance the services we provide.

K9 First Responders, Inc. is proud to partner with and support The Connecticut Commission on Children in their disaster response efforts as well as assisting during local crises.
The Commission is an agency of the Connecticut General Assembly created with bipartisan support in 1985. It has several mandates and focus areas. Notable of which is “The Children and Homeland Security Act” which was written to ensure that disaster plans include planning for children. Connecticut is the only state to involve children annually in issues concerning natural and unnatural disasters.

K9FR Teams are comprised of a number of different breeds. Wiredog supports K9FR’s mission by providing our teams with high quality yet cost effect working dog equipment.
